Christmas tree experts

Our team of Christmas tree experts have been passionate about providing the very best quality trees for over 35 years.

Trinity St Christmas Trees’ journey began in 1984 when Pete first sold and delivered Christmas trees around Dorchester and Weymouth to fund his travels. What started as a small venture has grown over the last 35 years into a family-run business dedicated to bringing beautiful, fresh, perfect shaped, locally-grown Christmas trees to Dorset.

In those early days, he sourced trees from across the country, but now, Trinity St Christmas Trees are grown on our Dorset plantations by a team of Christmas tree experts. By choosing one of our trees, you’re not only supporting a local business and helping the environment, you are also going to get the freshest tree possible, harvested straight from Dorset soil and if so desired delivered to your home. We will even pick your tree up after Christmas for a small donation to Weldmar Hospicecare.

We believe buying local matters. Our trees travel short distances from the plantations to our Dorchester, Weymouth and Poole branches, reducing carbon miles and staying fresher longer. Local and fresh go hand-in-hand, giving you a tree that lasts well beyond Christmas

Our Needle Retention Guarantee

We’re so confident in the quality and freshness of our trees that we offer a unique Needle Retention Guarantee on our reduced needle-drop varieties: Nordman, Fraser, and Silver Fir. These trees naturally retain their needles better, thanks to the unique shape of the sockets where the needles meet the branches and the meticulous care they receive year-round from our team.

In rare cases (approximately 1 in every 1,000 trees), a “rogue” tree may experience shock, causing an unexpected needle drop shortly after it’s brought indoors. Should this happen, we guarantee that we’ll replace the tree free of charge.

Throughout the year, Pete and our dedicated team carefully nurture, tend and plant each Dorset-grown tree. It takes 7 to 10 years to grow one of our 7ft trees, only once they reach their perfect shape are they harvested, ready to go to one of our three Dorset branches.

At Trinity St Christmas Trees, we’re proud to provide freshly cut, prefect shaped, locally grown Christmas trees with unmatched freshness and our trusted needle retention guarantee. When you buy from us, you’re choosing a Christmas tree from a local family-run business that grows sustainably here in Dorset.

The Trinity Street service

Firstly, our fun, friendly staff will help select the perfect tree for you.

We will then trim the bottom branches of your tree to fit your stand but more importantly we can slice off the base of the tree to “open up” the channels as these get clogged with sap after the tree is cut. This means the tree can drink again once in its stand.

We can then net the tree (and any nearby children!) and even carry it to your car!
